Charlie Bears are handcrafted, artist designed collectible bears, known for their expressive faces, unique hand-finished details, offering a veriety of materials and colors. No two bears are exactly alike! Many collectors love that Charlie Bears uses airbrushing, eye whites, and individual hand-finishing, making each bear special.

Pre-orders allow collectors to reserve a bear before it officially arrives in stock. However, release dates from Charlie Bears are estimates, not guarantees. Delays can happen, and many collectors recommend being patient when ordering pre-release bears.

All Charlie Bears come with:

• An official Charlie Bears tag (important for authenticity and value)
• A brown embroidered fabric tag on the bear itself

If you're buying from a third-party seller or collector, always ask for photos of the tag and original paperwork (if available).

Charlie Bears are designed in the UK and are handmade by skilled artisans in Thailand and Sri Lanka, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship while adhering to ethical employment practices.

The Cuddle Cub collection, which includes machine-made, non-jointed plush bears, is produced in China to provide a more affordable option for collectors while maintaining the charm and softness of Charlie Bears.

Some limited edition and retired bears (that may or may not be limited edition) become highly sought after and increase in value, but it is generally agreed upon in the collecting community that collecting should be about joy, not just investment. Factors that affect resale value:

• Limited editions (Mohair and Isabelle Collection tend to hold value best)
• Condition (must have tags, no damage)
• Demand (some bears become collector favorites)

If you're buying purely for investment, make sure to research past resale trends before purchasing.

Charlie Bears offers several collections, each with its own unique qualities:

• Plush & PLUMO Collection–Soft, huggable, and hand-finished. PLUMO bears have mohair accents for added luxury. Some of the bears in this category can be limited edition.
• Charlie's Signature Collection–A high-end collection with extra details and premium materials.
• Isabelle Collection (Mohair & Alpaca)–Limited edition, highly collectible, made with mohair or Aplaca fur.
• Minimo Collection–Small mohair and aplaca bears, often limited to 1,000 pieces or fewer.
• Bearhouse Bears–Non-jointed, machine washabe, and designed for younger collectors.
• Bear & Me Collection–A softer, cuddly line aimed at children and casual collectors.
• Cuddle Cubs–Machine-made, non-jointed, machine washable, and designed as a more affordable plush option.

Tracking down retired bears takes patience and persistence!

Collectors recommend:

• Facebook Collector Groups–many collectors buy, sell & trade here.
• eBay–some retired bears appear for resale, but prices can be higher than MSRP.
• Stockist Websites–Some stockists keep out of stock listings live which is a great resource for researching older bears.
• Google Searches–Try searching for the bears name + Charlie Bears, and contact sellers of even old listing as they may still have that bear for sale.

Every collector has their own approach! Experienced collectors recommend:

• Pick the bear that speaks to you! The right bear will spark at "awww" moment.
• Decide on size & materials: Plush bears are cuddlier, while mohair bears are more structured and collectible.
• Se a theme (if you want to limit your collection): Some collectors focus on specific sizes, colors or themed sets.

• Avoid direct sunlight–it can face the fur and tags.
• Use a cool air blow dryer or a vaccum on low–This removes dust without damaging fibers.
• Keep away from pets & smoke–Pet hair and smoke odors can damage collectibility.
• Display behind glass (for Mohair and limited editions)–This prevents dust buildup.

If you handle your bears often, inspect them for dust and gently clean them as needed.
