Why Isabelle Lee Charlie Bears Are Becoming Harder to Find
- by Daniela Hassman

If you’ve been collecting Charlie Bears for a while, you may have noticed something happening with the Isabelle Collection: these beautiful bears are becoming increasingly difficult to find.
As an authorized Charlie Bears stockist, Plush Teddies orders directly from Charlie Bears through its stockist ordering system. Right now, our own Isabelle Collection inventory is down to just Muggleswick and Bronte and the selection available for us to reorder is remarkably small.
At the time of writing, only two Isabelle Lee bears are currently available for us to order from Charlie Bears: Tall Tales and Mizmaze. Contact us if you're interested in either.
That gives collectors an interesting glimpse behind the scenes at just how limited the availability of these bears has become.
What Makes the Isabelle Collection So Special?
The Isabelle Collection occupies a very special place within the world of Charlie Bears.
Created in collaboration with award-winning bear artist Isabelle Lee, the collection represents some of the most beautifully crafted and collectible characters Charlie Bears produces.
Unlike the main Charlie Bears plush collection, Isabelle Collection characters are produced in limited quantities and handmade using premium materials such as mohair, alpaca and wool, depending on the individual design.
The details are a large part of their appeal. Fully jointed bodies, expressive faces, hand-embroidered details, hand-painted accents, bespoke paw pads and carefully selected accessories give each character an unmistakably handcrafted quality.
Isabelle Collection pieces also come with a Numbered Certificate of Authenticity and an Isabelle Collection tote bag, reinforcing their place as true collector pieces rather than simply another teddy bear.
Charlie Bears describes them as “heirlooms for tomorrow,” and we think that captures the collection beautifully.
Limited by Design
Part of what makes an Isabelle Lee bear special is that there simply aren't endless quantities of them.
Individual designs are created in numbered limited editions, and once those bears have been adopted, they can become extremely difficult — and sometimes impossible — for even authorized stockists to replace.
That is exactly what we're seeing now.
At Plush Teddies, we currently have only two Isabelle Collection bears remaining in stock:
And when we look at what we can currently reorder directly from Charlie Bears, the list currently contains only:
Tall Tales
Mizmaze
That doesn't necessarily mean other Isabelle bears will never become available again through Charlie Bears, but it does show just how limited stockist availability can become.
Special Order Tall Tales or Mizmaze Through Plush Teddies
Because Tall Tales and Mizmaze are currently available for us to order directly from Charlie Bears, Plush Teddies can special order either bear for collectors while availability lasts.
Our next Charlie Bears shipment is expected to arrive at the beginning of October, so Tall Tales or Mizmaze can be added to that shipment for collectors who would like one.
As always with limited Charlie Bears inventory, availability can change between the time we check and the time an order is placed.
For Collectors Considering an Isabelle Bear…
Our advice is fairly simple: if there is an Isabelle Collection bear you genuinely love and you find one available through an authorized stockist, it may not be a bear to leave sitting on your wish list for too long.
The combination of limited production, premium materials, beautiful craftsmanship and Isabelle Lee's distinctive artistry has always made this collection special.
But increasingly, availability itself is becoming part of the story.
For collectors looking to add an Isabelle Lee bear to their hug, Plush Teddies currently has Muggleswick and Bronte in stock, while Tall Tales and Mizmaze are available by special order for our early October shipment, subject to availability from Charlie Bears.
There may always be room for one more bear — but when it comes to the Isabelle Collection, finding that bear is becoming a little more challenging.
